Mending Kids' Jeans 子どものジーンズ補修 かわいく つぎあて Cheap Patch!

姪の破れたジーンズのつぎあて補修を頼まれて、アップリケか何かつけてと軽く言われたけど、うーん、破れた場所が股の近くなのとアップリケの値段が妙に高い、でも安くかわいく仕上げたい。で、考えたのがこれです。あ、ユニクロのだ、これ。アップリケ買わなくてよかった。ジーンズ本体より高くなっちゃうところでした。

Having asked by my sister, I fixed a hole in my niece's jeans by a thrift way. I patched a soft tape rather than appliqué as it was cheaper and nicer. It was totally coincident that I used US flag tape on Fourth of July!

偶然だけど、今日はアメリカの独立記念日。星条旗模様のいわゆるチロリアンテープを使いました。柔らかいジャガード織りのテープです。デニムには赤と白が合うな〜。

表もまち針で留めてからしつけをしてミシン縫い。他の縫い目部分もかなり危なそうだけど、見なかったことにしよう。

目線が上にそれるように、破けていないポケットと、ポケット脇にもテープをつけました。斜めにしているのも、人間の心理から、あ、曲がっている、と目線がそこにいくように、わざとです。
