Shoe Shine Rose 薔薇の靴磨き布 作り方 Repurpose Fabric Scrap Tutorial

Knit fabric scrap or old T shirt and old pantyhose became a rose in 10 min! You can use it to take some dust away from your shoes or even wipe your PC screen. Enjoy upcycling!

ニットの余り布、或いは古いTシャツ、と破れたストッキングで薔薇を作りました。10分で作れます。玄関に置いて出かける直前の靴の埃とりに。PCの画面拭きにしても。リサイクルしてね。

1) Cut your old pantyhose about 1/2 inch wide like a rubber band. I used five.

ストッキングを1センチ幅くらいに輪ゴムのようにハサミで切ります。

2) Prepare strings of knit or T-shirt not wider than 1 inch.

ニット生地や古いTシャツなどを幅2.5センチを超えない程度に適当に切ります。

3) Place pantyhose on a small bowl. Please make sure that the number of strings is odd so you need to put together 2 strings into one among all. Tape them using Scotch tape on the outside of the bowl so that they don't move when weaving.

ストッキングを小さいサラダボールのような容器に嵌めます。蜘蛛の巣状にしますが、奇数になるように全体のうち2本をくっつけて1本とします。ツルツル滑るので、動かないようにボールの外側にストッキングをセロテープかメンディングテープで留めます。

4) Weave a knit fabric string into the web.

互い違いに引っ張りながら通していきます。

5) Cut the pantyhose bands and tie together at back.

適当なところでストッキングを切り、裏で結びます。

Voila! Enjoy DIY!

Easy Gift for Daddy 子どもが作るパパへのギフト作り方 Tutorial

子どもが作る簡単ギフトです。姪が叔父さんの誕生日に何かプレゼントしたいと言うので、家にあったもので大きなメッセージボードを一緒に作りました。Amazonの配送封筒のリサイクルです。文字を変えて父の日にパパへのプレゼントにどうぞ。

Easy gift for Daddy or any other special people! I used book package envelope from Amazon. The back of Amazon envelope is a quite interesting surface like an embossed paper. Why not upcycle Amazon package for fun and change the words for Father's Day or birthday as a nice message board?

 

材料: What you need:

● Amazonのパッケージ封筒。裏がウネウネになっているので、なかなか立体感が出ます。

Amazon's delivery envelope for a book

● アクリル毛糸 (100円ショップにあります)

Acrylic yarn

● 編み針 (100円ショップ)

Crochet needle

● 割鋲(わりびょう、割りピンとも言います) 6号 (19ミリ) 下の写真の鋲です。刺すところが二股に割れます。

作り方: How to make:

1) Amazonの封筒の端と下をを切り、一枚のボードにします。

Cut top and sides of the envelope and make a sheet of board.

2) 子どもに鉛筆か細いマジックで文字を書かせます。

Have your kid draw the words with a pencil or pen.

3) アクリル毛糸で鎖編みをします。私は姪に教えて本人にさせました。

Make a chain with the yarn. I taught my niece and let her try.

4) 文字の上に鎖編みを乗せながら、割鋲を適当に鎖編みの上に刺していきます。二股を裏に拡げて固定します。切りっぱなしで大丈夫。裏はこんな感じ。

Place the chain onto the words and push the pins one by one. Cut the chain wherever necessary. The back looks like this.

割りピンは柔らかいので、刺す時に目打ちなどで穴を開けるといいです。

Split pins are soft so you may need to make a small hole using a prick punch.

額にいれて飾ってくださいね。

Please put this in a frame. That would be a nice gift to hang a wall!

Tsunami Survivors Need T-Shirts to Make Nuno Zori 布ぞうりの材料となる着古しのTシャツを募集！

Beautiful Nuno Zori made by Tsunami Survivors

Used T-shirts are wanted! Send those to Ishinomaki where Tsunami hit on 3.11. Fumbaro Zori Supporters held workshops of Nuno Zori for tsunami survivors who then need to practice to sell Nuno Zori. Your T-shirts will be used for them to skill up and also for the actual items to sell. Should you have any old T-shirts, send them to Ishinomaki at specific time and date - Before Noon (am) on March 1st, not before nor after this time frame, be specific to instruct the time and date when you write the shipping slip.

Fumbaro Higashinihon ふんばろう東日本 (meaning Hang in There, Eastern Japan) runs this project. "Project Fumbaro Eastern Japan (PFEJ)" is a volunteer network based on a new support model formed by Takeo Saijo, Ph.D, to accommodate the unprecedented disaster right after March 11th (2011) massive earthquake hit Japan.

■■■As for the suitable material, T-shirts must meet the following conditions.■■■

●T-shirts should be Colored and/or Printed. White T-shirts are currently overstock thus do not send white ones. Light grey and cream are welcomed.

●Size: Only adult size T-shirts, women's XS size is too small for this project and is not accepted but S sizes are welcomed.

●Material: Cotton 100％ is preferable but a small portion of synthetic blend is fine. The 100% synthetic materials are very slippery to wear thus please do it send those.

●No T-shirts such as business shirts and polo shirts are NOT acceptable.

●Printed T-shirts are okay as they use parts where prints not appearing.

●They cut T-shirts so some damages such as loosen bottom seam are fine. Damaged ones with lots of holes are not acceptable.

●No stain and no yellowish-turned ones.

●Long-sleeve T-shirts and tank tops are fine.

●Of course new T-shirts are welcomed.

●Must be fully washed before sending. If they are kept in drawers, please wash them again as some odors are always developed.

No-Sew Sock Snail ソックスのカタツムリ 作り方 縫わない簡単手作り Tutorial

靴下で作るカタツムリ。片方だけの靴下と輪ゴムとストッキングだけで簡単にできます。縫わないから元に戻せるので、まだ使える靴下でも。新品をカタツムリにしてからプレゼントしても楽しいですね。10分でできます。

参考にしたアメリカのサイトはこちら。目を縫い付けたり、ボンドが必要な作り方なので、簡単にできるようにアレンジしました。

Sock doll of snail. You need only one old sock, rubber bands (a dollar shop) and old panty hosiery. No sewing is required and is unfoldable anytime so you may want to use your new one, or make a new sock snail for a fun gift. It takes only 10 min.

Inspired by this site. I arranged because the text instruction required sewing and grueing.

ソックドールと呼ばれる靴下人形です。

材料は靴下片方、輪ゴム(100円ショップにあります)6つ、中綿用にストッキングか綿。

つま先の脇を中に少し折り込みます。

 

How to make Sock Snail:

Fold the toe as shown in the photo.

頭を作ります。輪ゴムで写真のように留めます。

For the head, tie with a rubber band.

目を作ります。輪ゴム2つで1つの目を形作ります。目玉はまち針を刺しました。

Now we make eyes. Each eye needs two robber bands. I used pins for eye balls.

 

頭と体の間に輪ゴムをつけます。

Tie between the head and the body.

ストッキングを踵のあたりに入れてゴムで留めます。

Fill the panty hosiery into the body and tie.

ソックスの上の部分を裏返してかぶせます。

Turn the top of socks over.

顔を出します。

Pull out the face.

ソックスのゴム口を裏返して、残りをヒダを取りながら中綿を入れた部分に被せて行きます。

Turn over the top of sock and make several pleats for the rest.

出来上がり！

Voila!

 

もう一つ、中綿なしで小さい子どもでも作れる方法を。

Another version of sock snail, easier. No stuffing is required.

つま先を折り、輪ゴムで2ヶ所ほど留める。

Fold the toe and tie with two robber bands.

あとはグルグルしていくだけ。頭の輪ゴムに安全ピンを挟んでおしまいです！

Make a body by rolling down the sock. Place safety pins for eyes. That's it!

ミシンの針や針板を交換するときのドライバーって使いづらくないですか？一番いいのがこれです！

なんと昔のミシンや、職業用ミシンに使う金属製のボビンです。縫製工場に行く機会があって、そこでプロが使っていたのがこれ。目から鱗。

ミシンだけじゃなく、組み立て家具や緩んだ引き出しのネジにも使えます。正直、普通のドライバーより使い易い。

I have to share this tip with any sewing lovers in the world! This old bobbin screwdriver can be used not only for your sewing machine but your furniture, drawers, and beyond. And it's better than the conventional one.

Recently I had a chance to visit a garment factory and there the professionals were using this. What a great idea! Changing sewing needles requires a screwdriver. Use this free (if you have it) one instead.

Try to look for your mother's or grandmother's sewing box or machine if you don't have a metal bobbin. It works better than the ordinary screwdriver. Don't you get frustrated as the space over the screw is narrow to stand 90 degree as seen in my next photo or the heads of screw and the driver are too small to meet thus it's time consuming when you change the needle?

It's frustrating...

普通のねじ回しだと、今のミシンのボディーは動かないのでとても難しい。

Put a ribbon or string so that it is easy to handle when you use.

紐やリボンをつけてください。使う時にこの紐を握ってすると、ボビンが手から滑り落ちない優れものです。どこかに掛けられるし、箱に入れても紐があるので探しやすい。
